Pescadero, California – Dr. Vie Team TIBCO USA heads a little bit north after a strong Joe Martin Stage Race in Arkansas for three days of racing in St. Louis, highlighted by Saturday’s NRC race, the Tour de Grove. Team Captain Meredith Miller will be joined by two of her teammates from the SRAM Tour of the Gila, Carlee Taylor and Serena Sheridan, as well as Megan Guarnier and Joanne Kiesanowski. “The team had a really strong race at Joe Martin,” said Team Directeur Sportif/Manager Lisa Hunt. “We got a much needed win from Megan Guarnier and a couple more podiums and Megan’s 2nd overall. The Team has been racing well all year, but sometimes the results don’t always reflect that. But last weekend was a real confidence booster.” The Team is bringing a full six-rider roster to St. Louis, led by Team Captain Meredith Miller, Joanne Kiesanowski and U23 National Criterium Champion Samantha Schneider. They’ll also be joined by Canadian National Road Champion Joelle Numainville, as well as Jenifer Wheeler, winner of the Sandy Springs Criterium last Sunday to close out the USA Crits Speedweek. Kendall Ryan, who also had a strong Speedweek, rounds out the roster. The racing opens Friday evening with the Midtown Rally Grand Prix. Saturday’s Tour de Grove is run on a crooked, seven-turn course that rewards technical skills as much as speed. The weekend closes with the Dutchtown Classic Sunday. “After the way the Teams raced at Joe Martin and Speedweek, we have a lot of confidence going into the races in St. Louis,” Hunt said. “We have a strong squad and we want to get the win on Saturday in particular. We’re definitely looking forward to the races.” For more information on the Tour de Grove, visit http://www.tourdegrove.com/.
