Kimberly Joines is a successful veteran on the Canadian Para-Alpine Team. From an early age, she was raised on sport and competition. The daughter of a coach and physical education teacher, and athlete of the year in her high school (1999), she always had Olympic aspirations. After sustaining a spinal cord injury while snowboarding in 2000, Kimberly grabbed hold of life in a wheelchair and started pushing her limits in a sit ski immediately. Her no holds bar approach to the sport of Para-Alpine Racing has been a roller-coaster ride... full of intense wins, intense crashes, and a lot of lessons learned. Her successes on the World Cup circuit have placed her in the top ranking of the world on a number of occasions, and consistently place her on the podium. She is teaming up with Dr. Vie Superfoods as she gears up for the next four years, in preparation for Sochi 2014.
